My Orkin Man is very good.

On the night of Feb. 4, the Orkin Man tried calling several times to notify the customer that he planned to be there the next day. There was no answer. Feeling uneasy about no response, the Orkin Man visited the next morning about 10:45am. There was no answer to the doorbell. The Orkin Man was suspicious that all was not well. He pushed on the door, and it opened (the door often wasn’t locked). He entered, called, and still no answer. Finally, the Orkin Man found his customer lying on the floor in the kitchen. Although conscious, the customer was not very responsive or coherent. Since there was no answer to phone calls the night before, it is likely the customer was down for 16 hours or longer. The Orkin Man immediately called 911, and EMS was there in four minutes. They evaluated the customer and transported him to the Emergency Room. It was determined he didn’t suffer a heart attack or stroke but was very dehydrated. He was admitted to the hospital. The customer and his immediate family wish to thank the Orkin Man. His recognition of a possible medical problem and following of his instincts to investigate were outstanding. Not many would have gone the extra step. It is a testimonial to his strong character. The customer has lived by himself for years without many problems. The family would not have checked on him until Sunday, two days later. The Orkin Man probably saved his life.

I am an avid collector of Green Bay Packers memorabilia. I thought I would blow up a picture of a carpenter ant and frame it with the lumber they destroyed. When looking through the Orkin brochure, I thought why not just frame the cover of the brochure. Then greed took over. As with sports memorabilia, typically you can increase the value of an item many times its original cost if you can get it autographed by a sports figure. Why not have the Orkin Man autograph my framed brochure to make it a real ‘keepsake’! My Orkin Man was only too happy to help me out. Thus, the start of my Orkin collection!

The Orkin Man is very thorough. He follows through on all sightings, spending as much time as necessary to locate the source. His inspections are complete, and he points out problem areas regularly. He completes the weekly invoices and answers any questions we might have. His attitude is so pleasant, and we are glad he is the Orkin Man who services our business.

The Orkin Man did a great job of treating our home for carpenter ants. He took the time to explain everything being done and told me to call if I had any problems after the initial treatment. While in our home, he discovered a lock on one of our doors that was defective and fixed it for us. He is a credit to Orkin.
